Pest Control Technician

Mosquito Shield is hiring seasonal Pest Control Technicians for the upcoming mosquito, tick, and perimeter pest control season.
This role is a good fit for someone who values consistency, reliability, and doing things correctly. If you prefer clear expectations, steady work, and being trusted to work independently, this may be a great fit.


About the Role
Technicians complete outdoor pest control treatments at residential properties.
This is independent, process-driven work performed outdoors. Most days you’ll follow a defined route and repeat a consistent set of tasks, with a strong focus on accuracy, safety, and compliance.

What to Expect
  • Outdoor work from spring through fall
  • Carrying and wearing heavy equipment for extended periods
  • Walking properties with uneven terrain, landscaping, and stairs
  • Repetitive, detail-oriented work that requires focus
  • Working independently with minimal supervision
This role is physically demanding and requires stamina, attention to detail, and consistency day after day.

Training & Certification
All technicians must become certified before running routes.
Training and support are provided. Technicians are expected to:
  • Study for and pass required state certification exams
  • Apply products safely and according to regulations
  • Follow property-specific application notes
Certification milestones are rewarded as part of the role.

Pay & Benefits
We believe in fair, predictable pay with clear progression.
  • Paid training starts at $18/hour
  • Core technicians can earn up to $25/hour through progression and quality-based pay
  • Paid holidays (seasonal)

  • End-of-season completion bonus

Schedule
  • Seasonal role: Late March through mid-October
  • Full-time once the season begins

Requirements
  • Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Willingness to learn and follow safety standards
