WAC presents ... Making a Difference
"We make a difference in people's lives"
Our goal for these honored and disabled veterans and first responders is to also "make a difference in their lives through our collective philanthropic efforts.
2019 Recipients:
Waukesha County Land Conservancy (WCLC) was first founded in 1992. It is a non-profit conservation organization that seeks to engage people with the life-giving benefits of nature and our mission to protect & care for environmentally significant land and water in Waukesha County for future generations. They presently oversee over 2,000 acres here in Waukesha County. They serve honored & disabled veterans as well as under-served Latino and African-American individuals
Wisconsin Hero Outdoors (WHO), a non-profit formed in 2018 whose mission is to connect our local honored & disabled veterans, first responders, and their families here in Greater Milwaukee to outdoor activities in Wisconsin to help them address physical & mental health challenges & restore a sense of comradery; our founders & advisors operate (WHO) as a 100% volunteer team accepting donations to support our core values of “Honor, Courage, and Conservation!”
